In his own words
Before I owned a factory, I spent twelve years moving other people's goods across borders. Freight forwarding taught me the supply chain from the inside — and it taught me what buyers remember. Not the promises. Whether the order arrived right, and on time.
In January 2001, I founded M.T. Sweaters Limited and gave the group my mother's name — Shahanara Rahman. She taught me that how you do things matters as much as what you do. I wanted to build something worthy of her name. That standard has not changed in twenty-four years.
Today we are a 100% export-oriented group producing premium sweaters, knitwear and woven garments, with long-standing partnerships across Europe, the USA, the UK, Canada, South Africa and South America. Our work rests on mutual respect, fairness, and the flexibility to ensure shared success.
My wife, Dr. Fatema Rahman, chairs the group and runs our operations. Our son Hafiz serves as Director, building the systems and technology that will carry us forward. Our vision is simple: to be a leading integrated solutions provider in the global apparel industry — competitive in design, development and sourcing, and uncompromising on quality and delivery.
